About the Role:
We are seeking a Program Manager with in-depth expertise in data governance and a proven track record of delivering complex, data-driven initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and ensuring the completion of tasks across cross-functional programs that advance our capital markets data strategy, while ensuring alignment with the broader Enterprise Data Strategy.  This includes driving consistency between data governance standards and business objectives, without directly managing individual tasks for individuals.
You’ll partner closely with the DML ensuring this role is successful and co-ordinate when required with data leads, engineering teams, and business teams to ensure all tasks are being completed in a thoughtful manner according to our business objectives mature data governance around delivering projects that enhance data quality and trust, while enabling scalable and compliant data operations.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end program management for key data governance and data enablement initiatives across CM CDAO Office organization.
  • Drive the planning, execution, and delivery of projects focused on metadata management, data quality, data cataloging, lineage, and policy enforcement.
  • Partner with DML and RM to collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to ensure alignment between data governance policies and enterprise data use cases.
  • Coordinate the delivery of data products, data controls, and operating model enhancements across our Authoritative Data Sources data domains.
  • Build and manage detailed program plans, including risks, dependencies, and metrics to ensure success.
  • Facilitate working groups, steering committees, and stakeholder communications to maintain transparency and momentum, ensuring ongoing engagement and collaboration.
  • Own meeting prep, drive meetings to stay on topic, document action items and track milestones.
  • Manage PMO functions, including risk, issues, dependencies, and reporting.
  • Ensure quality communication between data, business, technical, and operational teams.
  • Support change management and adoption of data governance capabilities throughout the CM Data Enablement 360 program
  • Monitor and further develop dashboards tied to program deliverables from a data risk directive perspective; track interdependencies, enforce accountability and ensure teams are meeting committed due dates.

 
Qualifications:

  • 5–10 years of experience in program or project management, preferably with a focus on data governance, data management, or enterprise data initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of data governance disciplines, including metadata, data quality, data lineage, data governance, and data policies.
  • Proven track record delivering cross-functional, data-centric programs in complex organizations.
  • Exceptional organizational and stakeholder management skills; able to navigate across business, data, and technology teams.
  • Familiarity with data governance tools (e.g., Informatica, Alation, Manta) and data management frameworks (e.g., DAMA DMBOK) is a plus.
  • PMP, Agile/Scrum, or equivalent certifications are advantageous.
  • Power user of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Experience managing and evolving program dashboards, tracking interdependencies and holding teams accountable to risk-aligned deliverables and due dates
  • Experience in resource management and capacity tracking frameworks, with the ability to align deliverables to role specific expectations and recommend to the MD acting CDAO for alignment. 

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$90.00 and CA$110.00
