Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Project Architect to join our Dallas studio. This role is ideal for a licensed professional who is passionate about design and project execution, and who wants to contribute to our mission of creating impactful spaces. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and the project team to ensure the successful delivery of projects from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Development: Plan and develop small projects or portions of larger projects under the guidance of senior leadership, ensuring alignment with the studio’s vision and goals.
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between project staff, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure effective coordination of tasks and a cohesive project workflow.
  • Design Documentation: Ensure that the project’s narrative and design intent are preserved throughout the documentation process, maintaining clarity and consistency in all materials.
  • Design Collaboration: Work closely with the Project Designer to develop and refine coherent design concepts that meet client needs and project objectives.
  • Scheduling Coordination: Collaborate with the Project Manager to coordinate project schedules and milestones, ensuring timely progress and delivery.
  • Project Delivery: Under the guidance of senior leadership, work with the project team to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget, adhering to quality standards.
  • Documentation Management: Coordinate and document projects through the preparation of contract documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Technical Contribution: Contribute to the continuous improvement and advancement of the firm by participating in technical discussions and proposing innovative solutions.
  • Leadership Development: Demonstrate leadership qualities and take initiative in project tasks, mentoring junior staff and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Self-Education: Engage in self-training regarding AIA documents and project management best practices to enhance professional knowledge and capabilities.
  • Building Code Research: Conduct research and study relevant building codes to increase expertise and ensure compliance in all projects.

Qualifications: To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Licensure: A licensed architect is HIGHLY preferred; but can work with candidates if you are close to licensure (AIA certification preferred ).
  • Education: A professional degree in architecture or a closely related field is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in architectural practice, with a focus on project delivery.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in REVIT and other relevant design software is essential.
  • Location: Must be able to work in-office in Dallas, Texas.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $40.00 and $50.00
