Job Title: Project Engineer I

If you are new in your Engineering career and have an interest in defining projects from conception through early development, come join the Projects group today! In this role you will provide technical engineering support in Projects throughout the planning, design, cost estimating, risk assessment, schedule development, and pre-sanction stages of the project lifecycle for the Gas and Liquids Pipeline business units.

What you will do:

  • Ensure appropriate stakeholder management; preliminary determination of regulatory requirements; completion of front-end engineering and designs, cost estimates, and project execution strategies are developed.
  • Develop realistic and reliable project schedules and cost estimates for projects, while appropriately defining risks, uncertainties and likelihood for those schedules and cost estimates.
  • Develop charters for Rough Order of Magnitude to Class 3 scope supported by estimates and schedules to meet the needs of various sponsors. Charters define critical information, specific to each project to be used by executive management to make decisions.
  • Provide regular formal and informal project management reporting to Senior Management and stakeholders on assigned projects

Who you are:

  • Engineering degree.
  • 0-3 years of related experience in oil and gas engineering, operations, project management, and/or project development.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to facilitate communication between all team members.
  • Project Management skills to prepare projects to move from development to sanction/execution.
  • The ability to work independently and self-prioritize and handle changing priorities and work tasks.
