Project Engineer

Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid – Some travel to job sites required) Position: 1 Year Contract (with potential for extension or conversion)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX. This position will play a key role in supporting multiple upcoming projects within the midstream sector, specifically for compressor stations and integrity projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in both greenfield and brownfield projects, a strong technical background, and the ability to contribute to project design changes, materials management, and project execution. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to high-profile projects and work with a team of experts in the midstream field.

Key Responsibilities:
• Track and Contribute to Project Design Changes: Actively monitor and contribute to alterations or changes in project design, ensuring all updates are effectively communicated and documented.
• Materials Ordering & Inventory Oversight: Monitor the ordering, procurement, and inventory management of materials required for project execution, ensuring timely delivery and project continuity.
• Project Planning and Coordination: Assist in the planning and execution of midstream projects, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budget.
• Field Support & Site Travel: Travel to job sites as needed to support on-site activities, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and performance standards.
• Collaboration with Experts: Work closely with other engineers, project managers, and technical experts to ensure project goals are aligned and achieved.

Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the midstream sector, specifically with compressor stations (both greenfield and brownfield projects).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related field).
• Skills:
– Strong knowledge of project management practices and technical aspects of midstream projects.
– Proven ability to manage design changes and oversee materials management for large-scale projects.
– Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Work Schedule:
• Core Hours: 40 hours/week, with occasional overtime as needed.
• Work Schedule: Hybrid – Monday to Wednesday in the office; Thursday and Friday work from home (9/80 schedule).
• On-Call / Shift Work: Some Saturday work may be required as project timelines dictate.
