Our client is a leader in the responsible development and reliable and safe operation of North American energy infrastructure. They are one of the continent’s largest providers of gas storage and related services.
They are currently looking for an Project Manager (Specialist) for their Calgary, AB location.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Human Resources (HR) Project Manager to support the growth of the HR Project Management Team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing large, complex HR projects within the PMO framework that support our overall business objectives. You will collaborate with stakeholders across HR and the business to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project plans and manage milestones.
• Identify potential risks and challenges; develop and implement mitigation strategies.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including charters, status reports, and evaluations.
• Define success criteria for projects and ensure delivery through to completion.
Stakeholder Management
• Engage with key stakeholders to gather requirements and expectations.
• Communicate project updates, manage expectations, and address concerns effectively.
• Coach, guide, and motivate stakeholders to move projects forward.
• Build relationships across HR to become a trusted resource in project management.
Change Management
• Support change management efforts to ensure smooth transitions and minimal business disruption.
• For smaller projects, use the self-solve toolkit to create change plans that drive adoption.
• For larger, complex projects, partner with the internal change management team to develop and execute comprehensive adoption strategies.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
• Prepare and present project updates, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Conduct post-project reviews and share lessons learned.
• Contribute to PMO process enhancements and toolkit development.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field
• 8-10+ years of experience as a Project Manager or similar role, preferably within a corporate services environment
• Experience with project management tools
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills with ability to manage multiple projects at one time
• Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
• Understanding of HR practices, policies, and regulations
• PMP or other relevant project management certification is a plus
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$95.00 and CA$105.00
