SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:
The Project Manager is accountable for all aspects of the project, including scope, schedule, cost, safety and quality. The Project Manager must ensure alignment from all stakeholders, internal and external, to achieve project success. Appropriate project management techniques are required to communicate and manage risk, change, stakeholders, cost and schedule.

- Owner/lessee, Contractor, Subcontractors
- Company Directors and Managers, Site Employees
- Tool, Purchasing and Estimating Groups
- Utility Clients
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prime accountability for project safety record, schedule, and budget.
- Sole representative and spokesperson for the project and its progress, timelines for completion etc.
- Manage all aspects of project planning including the development of the execution strategy, budget, schedule, procurement and contracting plans, and risk, scope and change management plans.
- Lead and supervise the project team while providing direction and guidance.
- Authorize all project spending and wording of commitments made to vendors, and review and approve payment of invoices for purchased goods and subcontracted services.
- Manage all day-to-day project management activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Appropriately manage the changes that occur throughout the project such as change of design, change of scope, change of weather, change of project personnel etc.
- Monitor and control project performance (cost, schedule, and quality). Complete and distribute regular project reports (including issues, status, performance to plan and other KPIs) to key stakeholders, including the client and its management.
- Identify, monitor, communicate and manage risks effectively.
- Communicate issues that occur within the project activities promptly to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Effectively develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Supervise and assure completion of project closeout activities and support the commissioning and transition to operation.
KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates shall have at least one of the following certifications/degrees:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related discipline
- P. Eng and Project Management Professional (PMP) designation preferred
- Technician or Technologist Diploma in technical or management field
- Construction trade COQ
- Gold Seal Certification
- 6-8 years of accumulated lifelong learning experience equivalency through workplace position or training
- Approved Canadian Nuclear Laboratories security clearance is an asset
SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Ten (10) years of project management experience; within the nuclear power plant industry or related construction/industrial projects would be an asset
- Working experience in an EPC environment is preferred
- Experience in project estimating, planning or execution
- Experience providing routine and timely updates regarding project status; Serving as the representative for progress and next steps for the projects
- Experience supervising project teams

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$60.00 and CA$70.00
