Project Manager – AI Projects
Description of Assignment
The Project Manager is required to support the successful delivery of complex technology projects that are critical to the Client's modernization and service delivery objectives. This role is essential to ensuring projects are delivered within scope, on time, on budget, and to the required quality standards, while also strengthening the project management capabilities across the division.
 
Duties
•            Ensure project technical deliverables arrive within agreed scope, quality, timelines, and cost using project management tools and methodologies.
•            Lead and manage all stages of the project lifecycle.
•            Lead and manage the development of detailed scope requirements, budgeting, resource management, planning and scheduling, monitoring, and reporting progress; managing and mitigating issues and risks; reviewing, preparing and executing change requests.
•            Develop, manage and report on detailed project plans of varying levels of complexity that make major business transformations. 
•            Manage all aspects of assigned projects, including the project charter, project plan and schedule, progress, budget, risk management, issue management, change management, resource management, quality review/best practices.
•            Lead teams of technical staff, client representatives, contractors, consultants, vendors, and other intra/interdivisional stakeholders to implement projects effectively.
•            Lead, facilitate and contribute to the design, creation, development, and sustainment of corporate standards for Technology Services, including formalized project management methodology, change management, application development and migration.
•            Lead, participate in or oversees the preparation of or prepares and/or supervises the preparation of various formal contractual documents such as: Request for Expression of Interest (REOI), Request for
Information/Proposal/Quotation/Resource (RFI/P/Q/R), ITAPP, Statement of Work (SOW), Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Service Level Agreements (SLA).
•            Promote standardization in areas relating to project administration, documentation, progress tracking and technical designs.
 
Qualifications
•            Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
•            Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
•            8-10 years of hands-on experience managing all aspects of IT projects in large project management and program management in Government jurisdictions and or large private sector organizations.
•            Extensive experience in AI project implementation.
•            Strong Proficiency in tools such as MS Project, JIRA, and MS Office.
•            Good knowledge of municipal and interrelated government legislation, policies and procedures
•            Demonstrated expertise in scope and timeline management, budget and resource management, risk and issue management, and organizational change management.
•            Proven ability in business transformation, critical path identification, and timely decision-making across complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
•            Extensive experience with traditional and innovative project management processes, techniques, and tools across agile, waterfall, and iterative methods.
•            Project excellence spanning Governance, Definition, Planning, Project Management & Control, Financials and Close-out.
•            Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively lead communication among all stakeholders, such as multiple streams of Executive and Senior management, business and technical stakeholders for assigned projects.
 
 

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$95.00 and CA$105.00
