Job Title: Project Manager – GenAI

Location: Brampton, ON (hybrid)

Estimated Duration: 12 months

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Agile professional to join our advanced analytics team. This role involves building Gen AI solutions and managing the development and production of numerous use cases. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with senior-level stakeholders, including VPs and above, and will be adept at guiding junior developers and resolving technical issues.

Typical Day in Role:

  • Daily Standups and Scrums: Participate in daily meetings with technical resources to resolve blockers and address challenges.
  • Senior Leadership Meetings: Regularly meet with senior leadership to review developed user stories and production progress, ensuring clear communication and reporting.
  • User Story Management: Collaborate with the team to create user stories, plan the backlog, and prioritize tasks for planning.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Negotiate and communicate effectively with leaders to align on project goals and deliverables.
  • Budget Management: Oversee a program budget of $1-3 million, ensuring projects stay within the allocated budget.

Job Description:

Summary: The main function of an IT Project Manager is to oversee the application of project management methodology during all phases of the project cycle, with responsibilities including project design, scope management, cost control, quality and performance reporting.

Job Responsibilities: Develops, tracks and manages project budget, project plans, timelines and scope Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising Partner closely with other members of functional project teams to define business requirements Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs Define test plans and ensure that products are defect free before User Acceptance Testing Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors.

Promote Agile Principles: Champion the use of Agile principles and practices across the program and work to remove impediments to Agile adoption.
Ensure Consistency: Ensure that teams are consistently applying Agile methodologies and practices and that there is alignment across teams.

Must have Requirements:

  1. Agile Expertise: 8+ years of experience in Agile methodologies.
  2. SAFe certified: along with demonstrated experience leading large scale agile programs.
  3. Technical Leadership: Ability to guide junior developers and provide direction on technical issues.
  4. Stakeholder Management: Proven experience working with senior-level stakeholders and managing high-visibility projects.

Nice have Requirements:
– Technical skills utilizing MS CoPilot, Github, Adobe firefly.  Minimum ask is to understand applications to be able to speak intelligently with Actuaries.

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
• Certifications

 

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$80.00 and CA$90.00
