A leading energy technology company is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its Grid Automation division. This organization is at the forefront of electrical grid modernization, delivering critical solutions for monitoring, control, protection, and optimization of power infrastructure across North America. Role Summary
The Senior Project Manager will provide leadership across assigned projects and ensure financial and contractual execution in line with established procedures. Core accountability spans project safety, quality, scope, cost, schedule, risk management, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full project lifecycle from contract award through warranty completion
- Serve as the primary customer contact for all contract execution matters; build and maintain lasting client relationships
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, finance, procurement, contract management, and administrative teams
- Own On Time Delivery, revenue realization, cash-in forecasting, risk management, and customer satisfaction metrics
- Maintain accurate monthly forecasts across financial KPIs including Sales, Cash, and Margin
- Prepare and present project reviews and progress reports
- Support pre-sales and commercial teams with return-of-experience input and cost/delivery optimization
- Champion EHS/Safety compliance across all project teams, including subcontractors
- Adhere to and promote ethical compliance policies and open reporting culture
- Contribute to continuous improvement within the operations department
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electricity grid engineering or project management
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally (US & Canada)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering
- PMP Certification
- Prior experience managing customer-facing projects in Electricity Transmission, Distribution, or Industrial markets
- Knowledge of Digital Substation, Protection and Control systems
- Experience in multicultural or international work environments
- Strong proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong leadership, negotiation, conflict resolution, and influencing skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects of varying scale and duration
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$40.00 and CA$50.00
