Job Title: Project Manager
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Location: Bruce County, ON
Role Overview:
The Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and closeout of large-scale capital projects within power plant facilities. This role leads multidisciplinary teams through all project phases—ensuring scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety objectives are consistently achieved in accordance with corporate and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead an Integrated Project Team (IPT) through all project stages, ensuring alignment with client’s project delivery framework and safety pillars.
- Manage project scope, budget, and schedule baselines; oversee progress, performance metrics, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain Project Management Plans, risk registers, schedules (WBS/RLS), and change control documentation.
- Ensure compliance with governance processes, financial controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee contractor and vendor activities, ensuring quality, safety, and performance expectations are met.
- Identify and mitigate risks; implement corrective actions to maintain project health and performance.
- Prepare and deliver regular project updates, financial status reports, and phase gate documentation.
- Foster collaboration across engineering, construction, procurement, and operations functions.
- Mentor and develop project team members to promote accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong leadership and team management skills in a matrixed project environment.
- Expertise in project controls (scope, cost, schedule, and risk management).
- Proficient in interpreting engineering, procurement, and construction interfaces for nuclear or large capital projects.
- Skilled communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Project Management, or Business Administration.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management within highly technical, regulated, or energy-sector environments.
- Nuclear industry experience is strongly preferred.
- PMP or equivalent certification considered an asset.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$70.00 and CA$90.00
