Project Manager – PMO projects (X2)
Our client is a leading energy utility that generates, purchases, distributes and sells electricity. They are currently looking for a Project Manager – PMO Projects for their Burnaby location.
Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join their team and support their PMO projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with specific experience in process development and process improvement projects, document control management and change management. This role requires proficiency across various Microsoft suite of products including MS Excel, MS SharePoint, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Visio as well other utility tools.
Role Accountabilities
- Lead and manage PMO projects from initiation to completion. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.
- Utilize MS Excel for data analysis, reporting, and project tracking.
- Manage and maintain project documentation using SharePoint.
- Implement and oversee document control processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions.
- Develop and improve processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Facilitate governance committees to drive process improvement initiatives.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
- Facilitate regular meetings and updates with stakeholders to ensure alignment and address concerns.
- Prepare and deliver presentations using MS PowerPoint to communicate project progress and outcomes.
Education and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- A minimum five (5) years of project management experience or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in PMO projects.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, SharePoint, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Experience with document control management, process development, and process improvement projects.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
