Position: Technical Project Manager/Scrum Master
Location: Toronto (hybrid 3-4 days onsite)
Duration: expected 6 Months
About the Role
We are seeking a Project Manager / Scrum Master to lead and deliver complex technology initiatives within our Core Banking and Payments environment. The ideal candidate brings strong project management skills, hands-on experience with backend and mobile deployments, and the ability to foster collaboration across technical and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies; facilitate ceremonies and track progress via Jira and Confluence.
- Oversee backend (microservices, platform) and iOS mobile application deployments, ensuring smooth integration and delivery.
- Identify risks, issues, and dependencies, and drive timely resolution/escalation as needed.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across technology and business functions, providing clear communication and status reporting.
- Ensure alignment of deliverables with core banking services, particularly in the payments and mobile services domain.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Scrum Master, or hybrid role in large-scale technology environments.
- Proven track record managing backend deployments (microservices, platforms, mobile applications).
- Experience in core banking services with exposure to payments and/or mobile services.
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodologies.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment (3–4 days onsite).
Nice to Have
- Previous experience with large financial institutions or fintech projects.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$75.00 and CA$80.00
