Job Summary:

The Prompt Engineer plays a pivotal role in leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance various business functions. This role involves designing, developing, and refining prompts to guide interactions with AI models, ensuring optimized AI performance and improved user experiences. The Prompt Engineer is essential for helping the client innovate and maintain a competitive edge in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

Responsibilities:

  • Prompt Design and Refinement: Develop and refine prompts to ensure AI models generate accurate, relevant, and contextually appropriate responses, with a deep understanding of the underlying data structures.
  • Effectiveness Analysis: Analyze and test prompt performance, using data-driven insights to continuously improve prompt quality and model performance.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize a thorough understanding of data structures and their impact on AI interactions to design effective prompts and address any issues.
  • Testing and Evaluation: Create and execute test cases for various scenarios to assess prompt accuracy and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and engineering teams to align prompt engineering efforts with project goals and business objectives.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of prompt design processes, methodologies, and best practices to ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Incorporate feedback from users and stakeholders to drive ongoing improvements.
  • Ethical Standards: Ensure prompts adhere to responsible AI principles, avoiding biases and promoting ethical interactions.

Working Conditions:

  • Open office environment.
  • Required to work in the Houston office 3 days a week.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or 3-5 years of equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts.
  • Deep knowledge of data structures and their impact on AI performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with AI models and prompt engineering tools.
  • Experience with AI platforms and frameworks such as OpenAI GPT.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, C/C++, or C#.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent business communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights.
  • Experience in scenario testing and performance evaluation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
