Job Title: QA Analyst

Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Quality Assurance professional with over a decade of expertise in leading and executing comprehensive testing strategies within complex banking or financial services environments. This role involves coordinating end-to-end testing activities across data transformation, integration, warehousing, and application layers, ensuring full alignment with business and technical requirements. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, including advanced SQL skills for data validation and root cause analysis, along with a proven ability to manage defect lifecycles and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
You will play a key role in driving quality outcomes by developing and reviewing detailed test artifacts, supporting test data readiness, and leveraging automation to enhance efficiency and coverage. This position also requires clear communication of QA status, risks, and metrics to stakeholders, as well as a solid understanding of banking and wealth management data domains. Experience or familiarity with AI-assisted testing approaches is considered a valuable asset
Must Haves
- 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance.
- Proven experience coordinating and planning testing activities in a large banking/FI environment, including data transformation, data integration, data warehouse, and application testing.
- Experience preparing and reviewing test plans, test cases, and test exit reports with full traceability to requirements and data-mapping documents.
- Strong hands-on experience using SQL for data validation, analysis, and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Lead defect triage, drive resolution, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely issue closure.
- Support test data creation and ensure test environment readiness.
- Leverage test automation where applicable to improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
- Provide clear QA status updates, risk assessments, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of the Banking / Wealth Management data domain.
- Exposure to AI-assisted testing is an added advantage.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$75.00 and CA$85.00
