QA Analyst – Job Posting

Division: IT Operations and Systems
Work Status: Contract, 6 months (with possibility of extension)
Location: Toronto, Ontario Hybrid (1-3 Days per week Onsite)

About the Role

We are seeking an initiative-taking and experienced QA Analyst/Tester to join our Infrastructure Modernization Program. In this role, you will ensure the quality and performance of our modernized network infrastructure through comprehensive manual testing & program support aligned to test plans, user stories, and specifications.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in complex, ambiguous enterprise environments, while maintaining a consistent focus on quality, risk mitigation, and collaboration.
You will contribute by:

  • Partnering with program stakeholders to understand and execute detailed test plans and test strategies
  • Supporting the development, documentation, and execution of test cases—including defect logging and validation.
  • Collaborating with technical teams to test the new network infrastructure within a large modernization program.
  • Executing functional, non-functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and security testing as directed.
  • Collaborating closely with development and engineering teams to drive timely defect resolution.
  • Staying current with industry-standard QA methodologies and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years’ manual software testing experience required.
  • Experience supporting business or end-user teams during UAT, business-led testing, or workflow validation activities.
  • Infrastructure or network testing experience is a strong asset.
  • Integration testing experience is a strong asset.
  • Experience with Jira, including advanced JQL query writing, dashboard building and maintenance, and managing test workflows.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC & STLC with a preference for Agile methodologies.
  • Experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

Skills

  • Ability to analyze complex business and technical requirements, identify gaps, risks and inconsistencies and translate them into effective test scenarios.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally (written and verbal) with technical and non-technical stakeholders including business owners, cross-functional project teams, and leadership.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective in complex, ambiguous settings with strong outcome focus.
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders, technical and cross-functional project teams.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$30.00 and CA$46.00
