Position Title: QA / QC Test Analyst / Engineer
Location: Toronto, ON
Duration: 6 months

Story Behind the Need:
Business Group: Canadian Banking (Retail) Engineering
Project/Initiative: Large-scale enterprise-wide project to accelerate personalization capabilities across our MarTech stack. This role will be sitting within the Engineering function of an agile Project Squad helping identify business needs and translating them into technical solutions across multiple stakeholders.

Typical Day in Role

  • Develop Test Strategies for project delivery.
  • Develop Test scenarios and queries for In-house developed application, DB level and E2E testing scripts
  • Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures
  • Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
  • Produce dashboards and reports for sprints or code releases.
  • Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures
  • Develop testing programs that addresses areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability
  • Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content
  • Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
  • Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers
  • Create or maintain databases of known test defects
  • Good understanding of testing standards and methodologies

Must Have Skills

  • 8+ years of previous QA experience, in large enterprise organizations, FI preferred
  • 2-3+ years of experience in Test automation
  • 2-3+ years’ experience JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket/Git suite and managing test cases, test plans using Jira plugins like X-ray or Zephyr.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Experience with Adobe’s MarTech offering Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and it’s associated products and solutions: Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), Adobe Offer Decisioning, Adobe RT-CDP, AEM, etc.
  • Experience working on end-to-end Software Testing Life Cycle projects
  • Prior client experience – asset

Degrees or certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field

Best vs. Average Candidate
The best candidate would be someone who has strong communication skills and a solid cultural fit (good attitude, positive energy and pick up the work).
The best candidate will have Canadian/US experience and understand the Adobe Stack (above).
Interview Process:

  • One interview with the Hiring manager – 30 minutes – to make sure the candidate has the right attitude and culture communication.
  • 2nd Panel interview with a technical peer and teammates – 30 minutes – Business Case 15 minutes presentation.

 

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$45.00 and CA$50.00
