Job Title: Quality Assurance Analyst

Location: Winnipeg, MB  (Hybrid)
    
Estimated Duration: 6 Months

We are looking for a motivated individual who is looking to become a key role in the Quality Assurance of software systems. You will be responsible in helping the business to become more efficient and to provide better service to its customers.
 

Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for the full QA testing lifecycle from designing test plans, execution of test cases, to tracking and resolution of issues/bugs
  • Performing GUI, functional, regression and other types of testing activities for planned software releases, feature enhancements, hotfixes and/or data changes
  • Proactively identify and assess any operational or regulatory risks
  • Participating in requirements/user story reviews
  • Define, develop and execute test cases
  • Presenting ideas for system improvements for new or existing solutions
  • Work effectively with the System development team and other departments
  • Develop, run, and maintain functional automation test using Selenium
  • Productive in both team-based and self-managed tasks
  • Report directly to the Vice President Systems
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies

 

Desired Experience (in order of importance)

 

  • 3 – 5 years experience in software Quality Assurance testing or equivalent experience
  • Full life-cycle of software development process analysis, design, coding, testing and maintenance
  • Experience on Unit testing, integration and regression testing
  • Experience in Agile testing environments
  • Experience with automated testing tools Selenium, Behavioral Driven Development (BDD), Regnroll
  • Knowledge of various formal testing methodologies including scripting
  • Ability to build API requests and evaluate API responses
  • Familiarity with build automation tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins
  • Knowledge of relational database and SQL
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence and Testrail
  • Familiarity with source control tools (git, Stash)
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and Docker (Images, containers, Services, etc…)
  • Financial Services experience is an asset

 

Education

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$40.00 and CA$60.00
