Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance Coordinator to work with our Agile teams at the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for developing integrated test plans, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, coordinating test execution, performing various types of testing, and capturing and reporting test results. You will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining quality standards, ensuring that our software projects meet the highest levels of quality and performance. This position requires a strong understanding of QA methodologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in an Agile development environment. Responsibilities:
• Quality Standards: Establish and maintain quality standards and metrics for the QA process, including testing methodologies and defect management strategies. Recommend tools, techniques, and metrics to ensure a consistent and effective QA framework.
• Developing Test Plans: Create integrated test plans that align with project goals and timelines.
Test Automation: Design, develop and maintain robust automated test scripts and frameworks to ensure software quality, scalability and reliability across platforms.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including development, product management, and operations teams, to, facilitate test plan development and smooth test execution.
• Performing Testing: Execute testing following test plans and/or coordinate business tester activities to ensure thorough validation of features, requirements, and user workflows.
• Capturing Test Results: Accurately capture and document test results for analysis and reporting. Ensure documentation is complete, and traceable.
• Reporting: Compile and present test results to relevant stakeholders, highlighting key findings and areas for improvement.
• Continuous Improvement: Assist in refining QA processes and practices to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and quality of deliverables.
• Data Sourcing: Source, prepare and manage data required to execute test scenarios effectively.

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Agile certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, Agile Certified Practitioner)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a QA role.
• At least 3 years of experience working in an Agile development environment.

Preferred Qualifications
• Proven experience in software testing within an Agile environment.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools and best practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in sourcing and managing data for test scenarios
• Ability to analyze test results and identify areas for improvement.
• Deep understanding of SAP CRM in customer care and campaign management.
• Experience with Salesforce is an asset
• Experience with UIPath is an asset
• Experience in the retail utilities industry (electricity & gas), especially in customer operations or internal support functions is an asset.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Our team operates within company’s Project Delivery and Continuous Improvement organization, supporting multiple Agile delivery streams. We manage a diverse portfolio of initiatives, from integration projects with partners like ATCO to internal process optimization and regulatory compliance. Describe a day in the life of this role
As a QA Coordinator, your day will be dynamic and varied:
• Review the current backlog of work requests (WRs) and sprint items to coordinate testing activities
• Join daily standups with project teams, clarifying test priorities and blockers.
• Sync with Product Owners (POs) and Continuous Improvement Analysts (CIAs) to ensure acceptance criteria and “definition of done” are clear and testable.
• Develop or review test plans, test cases, and CAT/UAT sheets for in-progress initiatives.
• Execute or oversee test execution (manual or automated), logging results and triaging any defects with the development team.
• Participate in sprint reviews or backlog refinement sessions, helping ensure testability and readiness.
• Update documentation, test logs, and sign-off sheets as projects approach “ready to bill” or production stages.
• Engage in team retrospectives, sharing lessons learned and contributing to continuous improvement of QA processes
• Supporting business users during UAT
• Collaborating on test automation and process enhancements.

• Test Planning and Execution (Manual & Automated): Designing robust test cases based on business requirements and acceptance criteria, ensuring full coverage for each user story or PBI. Selecting appropriate test approaches for integration, regression, and UAT scenarios.
• Requirements & Acceptance Criteria Analysis: Working with POs and CIAs to clarify what “done” means for each item, ensuring all acceptance criteria are testable and measurable. Identifying gaps or ambiguities early in the process.
• Defect Management: Logging, tracking, and prioritizing defects in Azure DevOps or similar tools.

• Communication: Proactively working across roles and teams—facilitating discussions between POs, CIAs, and Developers. Translating complex issues into clear, actionable steps for both technical and business stakeholders.
• Adaptability: Navigating evolving processes and ambiguity, adjusting approach as teams mature and as projects move from backlog to dev planning, integration, and delivery. Spotting dependencies and risks before they become blockers.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$50.00 and CA$60.00
