Job Summary: Our Client seeks a Quality Inspector to maintain product quality and reliability through inspection of internally produced and supplier products. Key responsibilities include adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards, and working closely with teams to support continuous improvement.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Foster teamwork, compliance, and continuous improvement within the quality environment.
- Adhere to safety, quality, environmental, and security standards.
- Perform in-process and final inspections on turbomachinery units, including hydro and functional testing, P&ID reviews, and dimensional checks.
- Collaborate with production on rework requirements, document punch lists, and ensure closure prior to customer inspections.
- Manage non-conformance documentation and NCR defect tracking.
- Conduct material inspections, rejecting non-conforming parts, and participate in Material Review Board activities.
- Administer and improve the facility’s Gage Calibration Program.
- Apply inspection techniques, including NDE (PT, UT, MT, RT), and operate measurement tools.
- Test products for dimensions, performance, and quality compliance.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality plans, and record data in systems like SAP.
- Generate quality documentation for compliance and host customer witness inspectors as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 5-10 years in manufacturing inspection preferred.
- Proficiency in English, strong reasoning, and practical problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in basic mathematics and ability to use inspection tools.
- General computer skills, including Word, Excel, and email.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced math, GD&T fundamentals, and metrology knowledge.
- Team-oriented, detail-focused, dependable, and ethical in handling sensitive information.
- Ability to adapt and function in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
