Job Title: Quality Procurement Lead
Location: Tiverton, ON (Hybrid)

Description
Provide Quality Assurance oversight of material and service procurements, with a strong emphasis on supplier capability, compliance, and performance. This includes:
- Evaluating and monitoring supplier QA programs through periodic assessments, facility visits, and documentation reviews.
- Reviewing and approving supplier quality deliverables, including Inspection & Test Plans, quality plans, concessions, and QA documentation.
- Managing supplier non?conformances and corrective actions, issuing Supplier Corrective Action Requests, verifying resolution, and escalating issues when needed.
- Determining and coordinating source surveillance, including defining oversight scope, witnessing tests, and verifying compliance during manufacturing.
- Analyzing supplier performance data to identify trends, develop mitigation plans, and drive continuous improvement.
- Maintaining strong communication with internal stakeholders (project teams, engineering, maintenance, supply chain) to resolve supplier quality issues and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Supporting supplier development, guiding suppliers on QA expectations, qualification processes, and regulatory standards.
- Provide quality procurement input to support asset?management projects, ensuring that project?specific procurements, surveillance plans, and supplier QA programs align with lifecycle reliability, regulatory requirements, and long?term asset performance objectives.
Education
This knowledge is considered to normally be acquired by successful completion of a four (4)-year University degree in an appropriate engineering or science discipline.
Experience
A period of 6 years up to and including 8 years within the nuclear industry is considered necessary to gain this experience.
Knowledge of Canadian and international quality assurance standards and requirements, and quality management practices and their application to the design, procurement, production, inspection and testing of mechanical, electrical, electronic and computer equipment. Examples – (CSA N286, CSA N299 Series, ISO 17025, 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR21, NQA-1, CSA N285.0, CSA B51, NCA 4000, NCA 3800, ASME Sections III, V, VIII, IX, and XI etc.).
Knowledge and experience in the design, operation or maintenance of chemical, nuclear or thermal/fossil plants.
Knowledge of and experience with manufacturing and inspection processes related to the fabrication of nuclear component and materials.
Experience working in a Supplier Quality or Quality Oversight position preferably within the Nuclear sector.
Experience in the following areas would be an asset:
- Experience with computer software including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with six sigma, continuous quality improvement, and best in class/lean techniques.
- Prior experience as a Quality Engineer or Quality Specialist.
- Related ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CQPA, CRE, or CSQE) are an asset.
- Experience as an internal and external Quality Auditor (preferably having passed an ISO 9001/NQA 1 Lead Assessor course).
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$70.00 and CA$80.00
