Position Overview:
The Release Coordinator will be responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating releases across various departments. This role involves working closely with development, QA, operations, and other key stakeholders to ensure that releases are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality. The ideal candidate will have excellent project management skills, strong communication abilities, and a keen understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Release Planning: Develop and maintain release schedules, coordinating with IT teams to ensure alignment with project timelines and business goals.
- Coordination and Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for all release-related activities. Facilitate communication between development, QA, operations, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks or issues related to releases and work proactively to mitigate them. Ensure contingency plans are in place.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for each release, including release notes, deployment plans, rollback procedures, and post-release reports.
- Deployment: Coordinate the deployment of releases to all environments (PROD/ NON- PROD). Monitor the progress of deployments and address any issues that arise promptly.
- Post-Release Review: Conduct post-release reviews to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement. Implement lessons learned into future release processes.
- Tool Management: Utilize release management tools to track release progress, manage dependencies, and monitor the overall health of the release pipeline.
- Other Duties as required
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT project coordination or a similar role.
- Excellent analytical and change management skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proficient with Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence) and ServiceNow.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$90,000 and CA$110,000
