Job Description
The Requirements and Acceptance (R&A) Coordinator is responsible for the upkeep of the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) during the build phase during the new construction vessel program, designed and constructed under the NSS Package Programs. This role supports successful handover and project close out for new build vessels and coordinates submission of Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) to the customer.
Duties/Accountabilities
- Maintains the electronic structural binders for the NSS Programs during the build phase. These electronic structural binders contain the OQEs such as Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) reports, Inspection reports, Defect Close-out sheets to name a few.
- Prepares electronic structural binders, ensures all reports are accurate before submitting to Class and Customer for approval.
- Assist specialists with closing out defects, findings that are outputs from the SOC 80 structural block inspections.
- Assists in the implementation of Acceptance Strategies for each vessel as required.
- Works with Engineering and Supply Chain in mapping correct certificates to the certification requirements for both NSS programs
- Participates in deliverable review meetings with the customer to discuss submission of OQE and address customer comments.
- Submits OQEs to the customer for the acceptance of contractual requirements at the request of the Specialists.
- Records customer sign-off of requirements on the basis of progressive acceptance.
- Actions the rectification of deficiencies resulting from the non-acceptance of OQEs by the Customer and track resolution.
- Assists with the maintenance of the R&A delivery schedule.
- Assists with the implementation of key performance metrics to monitor burn-down rate of the requirements.
- Develops document templates for requirement and acceptance management with the Configuration Management team.
- Support the team on Excel, Aras and IFS related issues.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Diploma in Project Management, Engineering or Business. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject is an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in customer facing role in complex project environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$34.00 and CA$50.00
