What you’ll do
The Revenue Analyst is responsible for providing day to day revenue stream accounting. A positive, proactive approach is required. The individual must have the ability to work independently as well as liaise will all Jumpstart team members and Canadian Tire Corporate (CTC) staff. The Revenue Analyst will provide direct support to the Manager of Finance and Reporting, and be responsible for the following, but not limited to:
- Oversee and manage diverse revenue streams, both internal and external, ensuring timely recording and reconciliation. Accurately record and reconcile bank deposits with revenue from all sources, including online donation platforms.
- Perform variance analyses to monitor revenue performance, identify trends, and provide insights to the Finance team and Management.
- Collaborate with Reporting Specialist, fundraising, and other teams to analyze donor behavior, identify key donor segments, and evaluate the effectiveness of various fundraising initiatives. Summarise insights that could help optimize fundraising strategies and improve donor retention and provide to the finance manager and Reporting Specialist.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve finance and operational efficiency. Ensure integrity of financial information and use of financial controls for the revenue module.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for all procedures and processes related to revenue management.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies for both restricted and unrestricted funds, thereby enhancing transparency for stakeholders and funders.
- Assist in month-end closing activities, quarterly reporting, forecasting, year-end audit, and other projects with necessary reports and documentation as required.
What you bring
- Degree in Accounting or Finance or similar related area Proven experience in an accounting, financial reporting, analysis, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, financial controls, and best practices. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data accurately.
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications with advanced Excel skills is required. Strong written and verbal communications skills to interact effectively with internal stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills. Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines and provide high level performance while adapting to changing requirements and scaling up of operations.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$38,000 and CA$50,000
