SAP ABAP Programmer

Project Description
Our client is looking for an SAP ABAP programmer to perform data extractions in the context of a transformation project (moving from SAP et Oracle Fusion).
Activities
The SAP ABAP Programmer is responsible for the following components:
- Writing ABAP code for extraction of data from SAP ECC
- In-Depth understanding of SAP ECC Finance, Procurement and SCM backend tables to write queries/ABAP reports for extraction
- Development of custom SAP reports
- Manage different programming objects and technical components
- Optimize extraction performance
Service Requirements – Qualifications
To fulfill this role, the SAP ABAP Programmer must have the following qualifications:
- At least six(6) years of experience as a SAP ABAP developer for data extraction from SAP for migration. Must be proficient in various ABAP techniques (e.g., SELECT statements, internal tables, function modules, BAPIs, IDOCs, ALV reports) and have experience optimizing code for performance
- Conversion Project Experience: Prior experience working on SAP conversion or migration projects, with a clear understanding of the data extraction phase and its critical role in the overall conversion process
- In-depth knowledge of systems development and project lifecycle methodologies, including experience implementing at least one major project from start to finish;
- First-class expertise in SAP system analysis, design and coding;
- Must be able to troubleshoot issues and work independently to resolve technical problems.
- Familiarity in using tools such as Google Productivity Tools (or similar tools) to design and document your changes;
- Good knowledge of change and incident management methodologies and tools (ITSM, ITIL)
- SAP certification or training, and knowledge of Agile practices for specification and testing – an asset.
- Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills: Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$60.00 and CA$100.00
