SAP FICO (S4 Hana) Consultant
The Client has launched a major business transformation of its financial system, driven by the implementation of SAP S4/HANA solution to enable futurestate financial processes. The solution went live in November, 2025, and is in the hyper care period of the Run Phase.
The SAP Functional Consultants – FICO, in collaboration with the Client’s R2R lead and vendor lead will work hyper care tickets as well as on the deferred items from the Go-Live. The SAP Functional Consultant (FICO) will contribute to process design, determining configuration requirements, support the update/development of testing requirements/artifacts (test cases, test scripts) and defect resolution to
address incidents raised during hyper care as well as new items that are being implemented from the project’s deferred list.
The consultant will also assist in development communication and any new or updated training material required.
The consultant will help the Client validate proposed functionality and alignment to design with the Systems Integrator and provide their experience in leading best practices in FICO. This resource will have a strong understanding of business processes, accounting principles, systems configuration, enhancements, integration and data that enables related processes as well as a strong understanding of project management methodologies such as SAP Activate and/or PMBOK (PMP is an asset)
The resource will have broad knowledge of FM and PS which support the Client key financial processes.

Assignment Duties
• Provide support for triaging support tickets, trouble shooting, issue identification and defect resolution.
• Support the PMO in the prioritization and implementation of items deferred to the post go-live period. This will include.
o Configure S/4 with changes prioritized for implementation
? Validate proposed functionality and alignment to leading/best practices design specifically as it relates to FICO, FM
o Develop functional specifications for development objects
o Reviewing/updating test script and test cases, identification of test data, test execution
o Update business process documentation and provide input to updated polices required to support newly implemented functionality
o Development of risk mitigation strategies, etc.
o Development of communication and any new or updated training material required.
• Work in collaboration with the Business Process Lead and vendor lead informing the design, development and configuration of the SAP solution and its integration with SAP and non-SAP solutions.
• Support the FICO team providing SAP knowledge/expertise/leadership.
• Analyze the Client’s end to end processes and identify areas of improvement and how these can be addressed leveraging Standard SAP functionality.
• Identify linkages to other key processes to support reporting.
• Support the implementation of workflow approvals based on the Client’s Delegation of Commitment Authority.
• Provide leadership of business processes, accounting principles, systems configuration, enhancements and data to enable related processes.
Qualifications
1. A minimum of 10+ years hands-on experience in large project/program management with Government jurisdictions and or large private sector organizations.
2. Expertise and experience in SAP S/4HANA modules; SAP Finance, Controlling, Asset Accounting, Accounts Payable, Project Systems, Funds Management,
SAP Certification FI-CO;
a. Experience or Knowledge of any of the following modules will also be an asset;
3. Expertise in configuration of S/4 HANA modules including SAP Finance, Controlling, Asset Accounting, Accounts Payable, Project Systems, Funds Management
4. Experience in delivering at least 2 end to end implementations. Implementation in a public sector environment with S/4HANA would be an asset.
5. Extensive experience with traditional and innovative project management processes, techniques, tools across agile, waterfall, iterative methods and associated tools.
6. Strong knowledge of test methodologies.
7. Project excellence spanning Governance, Definition, Planning, Project Management & Control, Financials and Close-out.
8. Working knowledge of SAP Solution Manager Change Request will also be an asset.
9. Strong Proficiency in MS Office specifically MS Excel.
10. Ability to work in transformative programs.
11. Tenacious and willing to support the team during peak volumes and workloads with various activities.
12. Strong in process management and controls to minimize risks exposure.
13. Ability to lead efficient communication between all project stakeholders, including internal teams and clients.
14. Ability to achieve business objectives through influencing and effectively working with key stakeholders.
15. Excellent written & verbal communication skills (comfortable & confident communicating at all levels, including business partners, leadership and vendors).
16. Demonstrated critical thinking and strategic planning skills.

1. Functional specs for development objects.
2. Test plans, test cases, use cases, user stories, scenarios and results documents.
3. Documentation of various types of tests (unit, functional, integration, system, regression, penetration, performance and user acceptance testing).
4. Process and configuration documentation.
5. Options documents to support decision making by project leadership.
6. Key decision documents.
7. Other analyses and reports for Management as needed.
8. Input for training and sustainment model
9. Documentation of issues and risks
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$100.00 and CA$115.00
