SAP Functional Consultant

Our client in the public sector has launched a major business transformation of its financial system, driven by the implementation of SAP S4/HANA solution to enable future state Procure To Pay (P2P).  To further enhance P2P functionality a project has been initiated that will leverage advanced technologies and integrate various SAP modules to create an efficient, transparent, and responsive warehouse environment. This project aims to transform and modernize the organization’s warehouse operations by moving from the legacy Warehouse Management (WM) module to SAP S/4HANA Basic Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) through a greenfield implementation.

The project is in the Prepare phase. The SAP Procure to Pay consultant will compliment the existing project business teams and enable the Business Process Leads (BPLs) to collaborate in executing the work stream tasks. 

Duties
The SAP Procure to Pay consultant is required as the project continues through the upcoming  Phases.  The resources will;
•            Analyse business processes and identify areas for improvement leveraging Standard SAP functionality.
•            Document business requirements, user stories and functional specifications for development objects. 
•            Conduct Procure to Pay workshops. 
•            Document S/4HANA linkages/integration to SAP Ariba and align to SAP
Best Practices
o            SAP WM to SAP EWM
o            SAP MM
o            SAP FI 
•            Support Configuration of 
o            Purchasing document types o Item categories
o            GR based invoice verification
o            Movement types  o Inbound delivery processing o Warehouse receiving strategies
o            Put away and quality inspection 
•            Support the planning and the completion of deliverables, with the BPL's, business and IT teams to help develop the 'To-Be' solution and following best practices and standard SAP business processes. 
•            Support the testing cycles tasks including; 
Developing test script and test cases, test execution, defect resolution, development of risk mitigation strategies, etc., and preparing for cut-over and Go-Live. 
•            Support/participate in all the phases and relevant work streams of the project, including project planning, change management, communications, testing, training, Go-Live and post Go-Live support activities
o Support delivery of the process designs, requirements, and fit/gap developed by the Systems Integrator (SI) during the design phase, 
              •            Execute project activities as directed by PMO/BPL 
              •            Provide input and review training documentation
               •            Support OCM activities. 
 
Qualifications
•            A minimum of 10+ years hands-on experience in large project/program management with Government jurisdictions and or large private sector organizations.
•            Expertise and experience in some of the SAP S/4HANA modules; SAP Materials Management, Logistics, SAP Ariba, Sales and Distribution, SAP Finance,  
•            SAP Certification in two of the following modules would be an asset;
SAP EWM, Logistics, Materials Management or Ariba
•            Experience in at least 1 end-to-end implementations.  Implementation of SAP EWM in an environment with S/4HANA and Ariba would be an asset.
•            Extensive experience with traditional and innovative project management processes, techniques, tools across agile, waterfall, iterative methods associated tools 
•            Extensive (over 5 years) project management experience delivering cyber projects.
•            Strong knowledge of test methodologies.
•            Strong IT knowledge and cyber relevance with cyber threats, trends and technologies.
•            Project excellence spanning Governance, Definition, Planning, Project Management & Control, Financials and Close-out. 
•            Strong Proficiency in MS Office specifically MS Excel.
•            Ability to work in transformative programs.
•            Tenacious and willing to support the team during peak volumes and workloads with various activities.
•            Strong in process management and controls to minimize risks exposure.
•            Ability to lead efficient communication between all project stakeholders, including internal teams and clients.
•            Ability to achieve business objectives through influencing and effectively working with key stakeholders.
•            Excellent written & verbal communication skills (comfortable & confident communicating at all levels including business partners, leadership and vendors).
•            Demonstrated critical thinking and strategic planning skills.

2.           Current state/future state mapping
3.           AS IS / TO BE documentation 
4.           Test plans, test cases, use cases, user stories, scenarios and results documents;
5.           Documentation of various types of tests (unit, functional, integration, system, regression, penetration, performance and user acceptance testing);
6.           Process and configuration documentation.
7.           Options documents to support decision making by project leadership 
8.           Key decision documents   
9.           Other analyses and reports for Management as needed;
Input for training and sustainment model

 

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$95.00 and CA$115.00
