SAP QA Test Manager

• developing a clear understanding of business requirements and assisting with documenting the requirements
• developing a good understanding of the proposed business processes and the IT solution that enables those business processes
• auditing business requirements documents for quality (such as adherence to the client terms, definitions etc.)
• ensuring the QA strategy and approach that is set out by the Director – Quality Assurance is adhered to;
• development of QA plans for IT processes, capital projects and operating initiatives.
• reviewing all project documentation (charters, plans and schedules) to ensure that solution delivery approach is aligned and effectively encompasses the scope of the project; and reflect the solution architecture and business requirements;
• reviewing all process documentation to identify areas for improvement and flag all possible risks;
• scheduling of QA activities to ensure that quality audits and inspections are conducted in accordance with established project complexity, process complexity or system criticality;

This is a hybrid role with 2 to 3 days a week in the office (Union Station, 61 Front Street, Toronto)

• Minimum 10 years as a senior QA experience
• Mandatory 5 years of experience with QA test planning, test design and test execution in SAP implementations
• Major IT implementation experience and understanding how systems are affected by business process change

Other Skills

• Good to have test automation experience with TRICENTIS tools
• Expert, hands-on knowledge of MS Office tools
• Experience in using Azure DevOps for requirements and test management
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
• Public Service and Transit experience is an asset

Certifications:

• CBAP or equivalent is an asset
• Post-secondary education in a related discipline
• SAP experience is an asset
• QA certifications/ITIL is an asset

• Participate in project planning, change management, communications, testing, training, go-live and post go-live support activities;
• Plan, lead, execute the following types of tests manually: system functional, regression, usability
• Leverage test automation tools to automate testing to expedite project delivery
• Coordinate and assist business users to perform UAT
• Maintain record of test discrepancies, using designated testing tools
• Lead and develop system functional, regression and usability test scenarios
• Design and create test data required to drive system functional test scenarios
• Assess risk to quality based on results of verification and validation and making
• appropriate recommendations
• Manage a full?cycle process for recording test discrepancies and communicating those findings to the appropriate sources
• Follow all design work and integration testing protocols, change control procedures and practices in performing required work;
• Occasional site visits in subway station, platform, bus and street stop, terminal and the client’s office in different GTA location, and during different shifts, may be required. The incumbent must be able to accept the required travel within GTA and comply with OHSA and the client’s Health and Safety policies and procedures in the workplace;
