Our client is seeking a Scrum Master to join the Core Banking Technology team. This role will support the FIS D1 implementation initiative, driving agile delivery and ensuring alignment between business and technology teams. The Scrum Master will serve as a servant leader, fostering collaboration, removing impediments, and enabling the team to deliver high-value solutions in alignment with BMO’s strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities

Guide the Core Banking Technology team in the adoption and consistent practice of Agile principles and Scrum framework.

Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and other Agile ceremonies.

Partner with Product Owner(s) to ensure backlog is groomed, prioritized, and clearly defined.

Track team progress against sprint goals and deliverables, ensuring visibility to stakeholders.

Identify, address, and escalate impediments that may hinder delivery.

Coach team members, stakeholders, and leaders on Agile best practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Personal & Business Banking to ensure successful delivery of the FIS D1 implementation.

Promote accountability, transparency, and alignment between technical and business objectives.
Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Project Manager, or Agile Coach, preferably within banking, financial services, or technology.

Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, frameworks, and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

Experience supporting large-scale technology initiatives, ideally within core banking or financial systems.

Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and drive consensus in a matrixed environment.

Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) required; SAFe experience is a plus.

Familiarity with FIS platforms or core banking implementations is highly preferred.
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $60.00 and $75.00
