Job Title: Scrum Master
Location: Winnipeg, Toronto or London (Hybrid)
Estimated Duration: 6 Months
Responsibilities
- Coach the team on Kanban principles and practices, including visualization of work, limiting work in progress (WIP), managing flow, and making policies explicit.
- Facilitate Kanban-specific events such as Replenishment, Delivery Planning, and Service Delivery Reviews, ensuring full team engagement.
- Support the Product Owner (or Service Request Manager) in prioritization and flow management, helping maintain a healthy backlog and clear policies for work selection.
- Monitor and improve flow metrics (e.g., cycle time, throughput, WIP, WIP Aging, lead time) to drive predictability and transparency.
- Remove impediments and protect the team from distractions, enabling smooth flow of work.
- Foster collaboration across all team members, encouraging cross-training and mutual support.
- Guide and coach stakeholders outside the team to understand how their interactions impact flow and delivery.
- Promote continuous improvement through regular retrospectives and data-driven discussions, using metrics and feedback loops.
- Hands-on with JIRA and Confluence to ensure Kanban boards and work items are accurately maintained.
- Reinforce an Agile mindset focused on evolutionary change, enabling the team to adapt processes incrementally.
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Delivery Lead
- Strong expertise in Kanban, flow-based delivery, and Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe)
- Proven ability to coach teams and improve delivery using data-driven metrics (cycle time, WIP, throughput)
- Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and managing team workflows
- Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to remove impediments and drive continuous improvement within teams
- Experience working in technology product delivery environments (preferred)
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$85.00 and CA$95.00
