Typical Day in Role
The ideal candidate will be working as a Scrum Master in an agile environment, responsible for supporting and delivering regulatory and controls projects. Firsthand experience in business intelligence and analytics will be beneficial. A passion for continuous improvement is key to succeeding in this role.
- Practice agile methodologies (i.e., daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.)
- Prepare weekly and monthly updates on projects
- Escalate impediments that prevent or hinder team capability
- Facilitate discussion, decision-making and conflict resolution
- Partner with Project Managers, working closely with them to effectively create, maintain and groom the product backlog
- Proactively identify and mitigate issues and risks
- Partner with Project Managers, contribute to the development & implementation of the program roadmap
- Take tangible steps to contribute to the building of a high performing team, a culture of experimentation and continuous improvements as well as a high trust working environment
- Identify and implement meaningful team performance matrices to spot light improvement opportunities.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
- Between 1-3 years working experience in Agile methodology.
- Minimum 1+ years of Scrum Master experience
- Capital Market or Banking project experience.
- Experience working with business intelligence and analytics tools/projects.
- Agile environment, JIRA & CONFLUENCE
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Regulatory project experience
Soft Skills:
- Knowledgeable and experience in Agile methodology
- Results-oriented and highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills and ability to apply this knowledge to target root cause of complex issues;
- High attention to detail
- Enthusiasm for making a positive impact to the Bank;
- Handle multiple tasks and initiatives simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
- Works well under pressure and time constraints and can prioritize competing priorities appropriately;
- Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- Must be able to work independently and interact effectively as a part of a team?????
- Must be able to work in a demanding environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Best Vs Average: Seasoned Scrum Master with Capital Market experience who has worked in Regulatory project.
Degrees or certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required

- Structure and Format:
- 1st round – MS teams – 30 Mins (with HM)
- 2nd round –Optional if required.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$50.00 and CA$60.00
