Job Title: Security Analyst ( bilingual in Spanish is mandatory ) 

Duration: 6 months extendable 

Location: Remote – Ontario 

Story Behind the Need
Business group: the Security Operations Centre, this team also oversees internal and external Cyber Incidents, addressing stakeholders and investigating security threats.

Project: the SOC team is currently working to update their current playbook processes and this contractor would be assisting to do so.

Candidate Value Proposition: The successful candidate will be a highly visible member of the team, would directly with stakeholders across CLIENT

Typical Day in the Role:
• Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures for information systems to regulate access to computer data files and prevent unauthorized modification, destruction or disclosure of information
• Reviewing current processes and creating documentation to log procedure in Playbook format
• Identify security issues and risks, and develop mitigation plans
• Architect, design, implement, support, and evaluate security-focused tools and services including project leadership roles
• Develop and interpret security policies and procedures Participate in security compliance efforts
• Develop and deliver training materials and perform general security awareness and specific security technology training
• Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies

Must Have Skills:
• 10+ years experience as an IT Security Analyst
• Experience managing Cyber Security Incidents
• Experience in a Security Operations Center
• Prior Experience Reviewing Process and Providing Improvement Recomondations
• Experience with Technical Writing/Process Documentation

Nice to Have Skills
• Bilingual in French or Spanish an asset
• Previous Audit experience
• Experience with QRadar and Sharepoint

Soft Skills.
• Excellent oral/written communication, relationship management, and time management skills
• Fast learner with strong analytical skills and improvement mindset.

Best vs Average: The ideal candidate would have experience leading large scale meetings (in person/virtual) and have hands on cyber security experience

Education:
• University degree in relevant field preferred

• Structure and Format: 1 panel video interview with HM & Team Member (60mins)

 

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$75.00 and CA$95.00
