Our client is seeking an accounting professional for their Accounting Analyst, Cost & Capital position.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders across our Commercial, Operations, and Projects teams to drive operational excellence and contribute to the continued growth and success of their operations.
What You Will Do:
Execute Cost and Capital activities including but not limited to:
- In-servicing of assets
- Project related reporting and accruals
- In-servicing of assets
- Asset reconciliations
- Capital and depreciation analysis review and reporting
- Assisting with forecasting depreciation
- Supporting monitoring and setup of financial dimensions
- Monitoring and reporting against cost and capital budgets
- Setup and monitoring of cost allocation
- Supporting audit requests
- Supporting billing of customers
- Leading costs analysis reporting discussions with leaders in operations
- Liaise with relevant parties to resolve accounting issues and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Assist with other accounting and finance tasks as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Commerce or a related field
- 3 to 5 years of progressive accounting or finance related experience
- Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
- Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and tackle new challenges
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$55.00 and CA$70.00
