Senior Analyst, Commercial Inside Sales
Our client is a Canadian multinational energy transportation company. They focus on the transportation, distribution, and generation of energy, primarily in North America. They have a long history in the responsible development and reliable and safe operation of North American energy infrastructure. They are one of the continent’s largest providers of gas storage and related services.
They are currently looking for a Senior Analyst, Commercial Inside Sales for their North York, ON location.
Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work collaboratively with the Energy Solutions Advisors, customers, Business Partners, and National Accounts to drive participation in our Commercial and Low-Income Energy Conservation programs to achieve Program targets.
- Respond to customer inquiries that go through our general Program email, phone line or are directed to us via an industry partnerships (i.e., Construct Canada) within our target SLAs.
- Manage to and report on individual performance KPIs, such as SLAs, Tech Services Pass rates, annual gas savings approved, etc as defined by the Inside Sales Supervisor.
- Proactive outreach to assigned accounts (customers, business partners, etc.) to assist with the identification, business screening, and technical evaluation of potential energy conservation opportunities.
- Drive program participation through outreach campaigns, data mining, customer/business partner prospecting, and follow-up of leads from sales and marketing initiatives.
- Drive energy conservation participation by assisting and influencing customers, business partners, and industry associations. Develop high-level business justification cases to help customers make decisions to proceed with projects.
- Regularly meet with your Supervisor to track and identify current and future workload.
- Ensure forecasts are accurate and project milestones are regularly reviewed to ensure the timing and delivery of projects.
- Utilize Guardian as a CRM and for the purpose of tracking and forecasting projects and logging pertinent DSM account information; ensure all projects are entered accurately and timely with all critical information and approach milestones.
- Follow policies and procedures for the creation, submission and follow through with customer projects, including the utilization of etools and other savings calculation methodologies as required.
- Ensure proper documentation and all required record keeping to secure projects that are defendable through audit and verification.
- Establish and build customer relationships with the goal of long-term trust and commitment to achieve natural gas reduction targets and facilitate issues beyond energy conservation.
- Work cooperatively with team members and cross-boundary colleagues to complete assigned work safely, accurately, and on time, while supporting company values and demonstrating key competencies.
- Actively support the path to zero safety incidents.
- Identify key threats and opportunities related to energy conservation delivery for assigned segments.
- Provide market intelligence and insights to internal program design team.
MUST HAVES:
- A university degree (engineering, energy management, business or related) with minimum 2 to 4 years of progressive work experience.
- Strong overall computer skills – proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel), ability to work on CRM related platforms, understand data structure and be able to query data for reporting.
- Ability to provide recommendations for change and contribute towards continuous improvement while considering the big picture implications.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for customer service and the ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
- Detail oriented with ability to manage multiple processes, handle competing priorities and while ensuring deadlines are met.
PREFERRED:
- Background and experience in technical sales/customer service.
- Knowledge of Commercial HVAC systems.
- Practical background knowledge in energy conservation program delivery.
- Project Management/Change Management experience.
- Certified Energy Management Certificate and asset.
