Job Summary:
The Sr. Analyst, Insights reports to Manager, Price Value Insights. This position is responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of models, reports, dashboards, and analytics that help improve our already strong reporting & analytics capabilities.
 What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate across Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, forecasting, data engineering, and other teams to deeply understand business objectives
  • Translate business questions into technical data needs, ensuring alignment with request goals
  • Research, identify and then collect / extract the internal data sets required for the use case. Creativity, thinking outside of the box, and resourcefulness is required to find new and relevant data sources to meet business requirements
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail while working with large datasets to ensure accuracy, completeness, and high-quality standards
  • Translate technical findings into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business use cases
  • Partner closely with data engineers and data scientists to ensure data pipelines and models align with organizational goal
  • Diagnose and enhance data quality across diverse sources
  • Recommend ways to integrate disparate data sources into a usable data model to meet business requirements
  • Present business insights in a meaningful and intuitive manner, in accordance with the target audience, using KNIME, DB Visualizer, Excel, and other BI tools
  • Implement segmentation and categorization techniques to build dynamic solutions tailored to use case
  • Demonstrate curiosity by exploring datasets, conducting exploratory data analysis to uncover hidden trends, outliers, anomalies, and identify insights that might not be obvious
  • Build advanced dashboards and visualizations that turn data into compelling narratives
  • Provide detailed analysis of product behavior, market trends, and competitive landscape to support product, sales and marketing strategies
  • Perform ad hoc analysis on the Promotions and Pricing portfolios and translate results into actionable recommendations
  • Coach and mentor a team of skilled Analysts and assist in their individual development
  • Demonstrate analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
  • Take a collaborate approach to build strong relationships and have positive team experiences
  • Adjust and prioritize accordingly to adapt to business demands and requirements
  • Demonstrate core values with an ability to lead a high performing team of Analysts
  • Support other high-profile initiatives, Such regional pricing expansion, New Incentive Types etc.

What you bring:

  • Successful completion of University Education Program (Mathematics, Economics, Finance)
  • Experience in acting as a lead for a highly skilled analytical team
  • 5 + years experience in Analytics & Reporting
  • Experience in application of analytical and presentation tools
  • Knowledge of statistics and predictive models
  • Exceptional communication skills with the confidence and passion to share knowledge
  • Creative thinker who is curious and has an independent drive for self learning and understanding
  • Goal driven individual to seek out continuous improvement opportunities
  • Solid foundation of relevant technical skills

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$64,000 and CA$106,000
