Application Support Specialist
Responsibilities:
· Provides expertise and technical knowledge about implementation, deployment and support of Azure applications and services to ensure efficacy of information systems
· Coordinates implementation, data population, installation, training and technical and acceptance testing for assigned systems
· Designs and configures backup policies, setting up recovery services, and testing disaster recovery plans regularly
· Provides second-level functional/technical support of business applications and solutions throughout their active life
· Maintains and updates technical documents and procedures Identifies and resolves technical issues
· Provides input to assessment of development tools and approaches, development standards, procedures and policies, and application-driven infrastructure requirements
· Manages coordination at a local and international level where required
· Delivers regular and customized training to teams within the business
· Prepares maintenance plans and upgrades schedules for the organization’s systems and prepares reports for teams across the business
Our client in seeking someone with the following skills for this role:
- 3 -5 years of hands-on Azure Administration experience
- 3 -5 years of experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Azure Resource Management: provision, configure, and maintain Azure infrastructure services (VMs, storage accounts, virtual networks, Azure Active Directory, etc.)
- Monitor and Optimize Performance: Implement monitoring solutions, analyze performance metrics, and take corrective actions to optimize system performance and scalability
- Networking Skills: Familiarity with Azure networking concepts, including VNETs, subnets, VPNs, ExpressRoute, and load balancers
General Skills:
· Experience in managing Azure subscriptions, including provisioning and managing subscription resources, monitoring usage, and enforcing governance policies to ensure compliance and cost control
· Experience in creating resource groups, configuring access controls, and optimizing resource utilization
· Experience in Backup and Disaster Recovery, design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect data and ensure business continuity during system failures, data loss, or disasters
· Experience in PowerShell and Azure CLI to automate repetitive tasks, streamline operations, and enforce governance policies to scale operations efficiently and maintain consistency across Azure environments
· Experience training end users on a variety of applications and creating documentation when necessary
· Experience responding to end-user requests by troubleshooting issues or questions regarding managed applications
· A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines, managing competing priorities and client relationship management experience Intimate knowledge of an organization’s computing systems
· Ability to explain complex ideas to those with limited IT and systems knowledge
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Listening ability and patience
· Extraordinary customer service and relationship management experience Critical thinking skills
