Our client is a Canadian multinational energy company. They focus on transportation, distribution, and generation of energy, primarily in North America. They have a long history in the responsible development and reliable and safe operation of North American energy infrastructure. They are one of the continent’s largest providers of energy storage and related services.

They are currently looking for a Business Analyst for their Calgary, AB location.

Responsibilities:
•Work collaboratively towards the project objectives under the direction of the Project Manager and Technical Lead
•Lead and participate in process reviews (or creation or updating of associated documentation) working with stakeholders
•Ensure timely and effective gathering of functional requirements and business input
•Creation of requirements documentation
•Assist with ensuring project deliverables are met on time and with sufficient quality
•Work with the Technical Lead, Business SME and QA Lead to provide business knowledge and business support to the project team
•Support project team in facilitation of conversations between business operations stakeholders and project team
•Participate in standards and process creation, reviews, updates, development and documentation
•Deliver and/or participate in standards, policies or process education and awareness
•Successfully engage, drive and facilitate multiple initiatives and deliverables simultaneously
•Work independently with users or business stakeholders to define concepts or workflows and under direction of project managers
•Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language
•Support the project team in maintaining the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs
•Assist with Quality Assurance and additional Testing tasks or documentation
•Provide leadership or mentorship to other BA’s or business users as project evolves

Qualifications:
•Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
•5-10 years of demonstrated working experience in a Business Analyst role
•Exceptional skills in effectively managing multiple tasks, often under pressure and within rigid time constraints
•Experience working with Field data Capture systems in the Energy industry
•Exceptional skills in documenting requirements
•Oil & Gas software experience –an asset

Certification/Education/Training
•IIBA Certified Business Analysis (IIBA-CBAP) – an asset
•Business Process Management: an asset
 

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$80.00 and CA$90.00
