Job Title: Senior Change Manager – Capital Markets

About the Role:

Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Change Manager to lead and drive change initiatives within our Capital Markets division. You will play a pivotal role in managing complex change associated with trading platforms, risk management systems, regulatory reforms, and digital transformation projects unique to capital markets.

This role demands a deep understanding of capital markets products, workflows, and regulatory environment in Canada, combined with expert change management skills to ensure successful adoption and minimal disruption.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead change management efforts for capital markets programs, including trading system upgrades, regulatory compliance (e.g., OSC, IIROC, Basel III), and technology transformations.
  • Partner closely with traders, risk managers, compliance officers, IT, and business leaders to define and execute tailored change strategies.
  • Conduct detailed impact assessments on front office, middle office, and back office teams.
  • Develop and implement communication plans, training, and engagement activities targeted to capital markets stakeholders.
  • Guide leadership and sponsors within Capital Markets on their roles in the change process.
  • Monitor adoption, identify barriers, and continuously adjust plans to ensure sustained change.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and foster collaboration across multiple internal and external groups.
  • Mentor junior change practitioners specializing in capital markets initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field (Master’s degree or CFA designation is an asset).
  • 7–10+ years of change management experience, with a minimum of 5 years focused on capital markets or financial trading environments.
  • Strong knowledge of capital markets products (equities, fixed income, derivatives) and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Change management certification such as Prosci or CCMP is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead change in complex, high-stakes environments.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills tailored to technical and front-office audiences.
  • Experience working in Agile and Waterfall environments.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset for national initiatives.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$75.00 and CA$90.00
