Job Description:
As a Sr. Commercial Manager, you will be a key leader within our team, overseeing the commercial and financial aspects for a major rail project within the construction/infrastructure sector. You will be responsible for ensuring that all commercial activities are conducted in compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and industry standards. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and extensive experience in commercial management within the construction and infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Administration: Manage and oversee the administration of all project contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
- Cost Centers & Budgeting: Develop and manage cost centers and budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and project costs are controlled.
- Change Management: Implement and manage change control processes, ensuring changes are documented, approved, and communicated effectively.
- Variation Orders & Claims Management: Handle variation orders and manage claims, ensuring they are processed efficiently and in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Turnkey Solutions: Develop and manage turnkey solutions for contracts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Risk Allocations: Identify and allocate risks appropriately, ensuring that potential risks are mitigated and managed effectively.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 7 – 10 years of commercial experience in the construction, infrastructure, or rail industry.
- Contract Administration: Proven experience with contract administration, including understanding and interpreting complex contracts.
- Financial Management: Strong skills in budgeting, cost centers, and financial management.
- Change Management: Experience in managing change processes within large projects.
- Claims Management: Proficiency in handling claims and managing variation orders.
- Turnkey Solutions: Experience with turnkey solutions for contracts.
- Risk Management: Ability to identify, allocate, and manage risks effectively.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$130.00 and CA$150.00
