Job Description

Under our recently announced “True North” Multi-Year Strategy, CTC is focused on transformation, making considerable changes to how we operate. This includes a new corporate strategy, a reorganized structure and a unified company, new ways of working, and a Transformation Management Office (TMO) that will ensure strategic initiatives are delivered and generate value.
The Transformation, Integration and Adoption team is responsible for driving the AI roadmap across the organization, working in partnership with HR, Enterprise Communications, Business Leaders Technology Teams and External Strategic Partners.? This includes achieving our AI ambition, driving value delivery, and transforming our workforce through the adoption of AI in everyday work. ?

Overview:
The Senior Consultant, AI Adoption & Engagement, reporting to the Manager, Integration & Adoption, plays a critical execution role in advancing Canadian Tire’s AI adoption and enablement agenda. This role supports delivery across AI literacy, tool adoption, change enablement, and employee engagement initiatives that are already in motion.
The focus of the role is enabling employees to leverage AI for personal productivity gains and embed AI into everyday business processes, while supporting the mindset shifts required for sustainable transformation and growth.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Manager and cross functional teams to help operationalize programs, translate strategy into action, and keep multiple workstreams moving forward. This includes developing and delivering enablement assets, coordinating learning and engagement initiatives, supporting communications and events, managing operational tasks, and partnering with internal teams and external vendors to ensure consistent execution.
This is a highly hands-on role suited for someone who enjoys owning work, bringing structure to ambiguity, and supporting large-scale initiatives through strong follow-through. The Senior Consultant will be trusted to drive pieces of the AI adoption program forward independently while remaining closely aligned to overall direction and priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Adoption of Enterprise AI Tools Translate user needs into practical adoption strategies that enable employees to use AI tools effectively in their day-to-day work. Apply design thinking and human-centred approaches to increase engagement, sustained usage, and productivity gains across diverse employee groups.
  • Lead and Scale an Internal Champion Network Own, operate, and scale a network of engaged employees who act as local advocates and early adopters of AI-enabled ways of working. This includes onboarding and enabling champions, curating and sharing best practices, facilitating weekly sessions, amplifying success stories, and fostering peer-to-peer learning to accelerate adoption across the enterprise.
  • Enable Learning and Mindset Change Support structured upskilling and learning initiatives that promote continuous learning, adaptability, and confidence in using AI at work. Contribute to learning experiences that are practical, relevant, and easy to apply, including spaced learning and microlearning strategies delivered in small, ongoing bursts, helping employees shift behaviours and embed new ways of working.
  • Drive Multi-Channel Communications for AI Adoption Drive and maintain communications across multiple internal channels, including Viva Engage communities and Microsoft Teams channels, to support AI adoption and learning efforts. Partner with Employee Communications Team to ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and tailored to employees at different stages of awareness, learning, and adoption.
  • Collaborate with HR and Learning & Development Partner with HR and Learning & Development teams to integrate AI-related learning and enablement into existing programs, platforms, and development pathways. Ensure alignment with enterprise learning objectives and employee experience standards
  • Plan and Execute Adoption and Engagement Activities Coordinate and deliver adoption initiatives such as tool launches, workshops, communities of practice, and internal events that drive awareness, participation, and sustained engagement.
  • Track Adoption Progress and Effectiveness Support the development and sustainment of adoption metrics tracking, KPIs, and feedback mechanisms to monitor progress, identify gaps, and continuously improve learning and adoption approaches.
  • Identify and Address Adoption Risks and Barrier Proactively identify resistance, adoption challenges, and change risks related to AI enablement. Work with internal partners to develop mitigation strategies that address real employee needs and concerns.
  • Support Day-to-Day Program Operations Provide operational support across the AI adoption portfolio, including managing shared inboxes, coordinating logistics for events and sessions, responding to employee inquiries, and ensuring smooth execution of initiatives.
  • Partners with External Vendors   Support relationships with external consultants and vendors engaged in learning, change, or enablement activities. Assist with onboarding, coordination of deliverables, performance tracking, and knowledge transfer to ensure alignment with program goals.
  • Collaborate with IT and AI Governance Stakeholders Collaborate with IT, Security, Risk, Legal, and AI governance stakeholders to ensure adoption and enablement efforts align with enterprise standards, policies, and guardrails. Help operationalize governance requirements by translating them into practical guidance, communications, and learning experiences that support responsible and compliant use of AI across the organization.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Organizational Development, Information Systems, Adult Education, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may also be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in leading change management and learning content curation.
  • Proven experience in learning and adopting AI technologies, with a technical proficiency gained through education or work experience, enabling effective communication and collaboration with technical team
  • Proven ability to learn quickly, with experience rapidly understanding new tools and translating technical capabilities into practical, employee-friendly guidance. An advanced user of Microsoft 365 Copilot, with hands-on experience building and configuring agents and leveraging platform capabilities.
  • Demonstrated success in leading people enablement and learning initiatives specifically for technology products.
  • Experience using Power BI to build and maintain dashboards, visualize adoption metrics, and communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions, coupled with a results-driven, action-oriented mindset.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with excellent interpersonal abilities to motivate and guide cross-functional teams effectively and build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present complex information clearly and compellingly to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in swiftly adapting to new environments and acquiring new tools and skills to effectively accomplish tasks.
  • A genuine passion for innovation and emerging technologies, with a continuous learning mindset.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$64,000 and CA$100,000
