About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Power with project management experience and a strong technical background in high and medium voltage systems, substation design, and utility interconnection. This role involves working on utility and site-level systems (up to 44kV), including renewable energy integration and protection/control systems.

You’ll lead projects from concept through delivery, provide technical guidance to junior engineers, and support business development activities. This is a dynamic, client-facing role with plenty of variety and challenge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and prepare drawings including title blocks, base plans, single-line diagrams, riser diagrams, voltage drop and fault current calculations

  • Perform engineering calculations and apply applicable codes and standards

  • Manage and review detailed electrical design drawings using AutoCAD

  • Develop electrical specifications, ensuring accuracy and currency through research

  • Conduct code and standards reviews related to project work

  • Complete site visits and construction progress inspections as required

  • Lead or contribute to proposal development, including project scope, budget, schedule, and deliverables

  • Perform project management tasks: budget tracking, documentation, client communication, and interdisciplinary coordination

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario

  • 10–15 years of relevant experience in power systems within a consulting or utility environment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD

  • Strong knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and Ontario Building Code

  • Excellent communication and technical writing abilities

  • Experience with utility coordination, renewable energy, and client management

  • Project management experience is an asset

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$110,000 and CA$140,000
