Job Title: Senior Mold Designer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cimatron Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing complex 3D models, mold designs, and tooling solutions using Cimatron software. This role requires expertise in mold design and manufacturing processes to ensure precision, efficiency, and high-quality production.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop 3D CAD models, mold layouts, and tooling components using Cimatron software.
• Create and optimize injection mold designs.
• Conduct design for manufacturing (DFM), ensuring manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
• Generate 2D drawings, BOMs, and detailed documentation for production.
• Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and production teams to refine designs for efficient manufacturing.
• Perform tooling modifications, engineering changes (EC’s), and design improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design or production challenges related to tooling and machining.
• Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards and customer requirements.
• Stay updated with the latest Cimatron software advancements and manufacturing technologies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience as a Cimatron Designer in a manufacturing, or mold-making environment.
• Expert proficiency in Cimatron 16 (or later) for mold design.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding.
• Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and blueprint reading.
• Ability to analyze and solve complex design and manufacturing challenges.
• Strong understanding of material properties and machining processes.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with plastic injection mold design, and multi-cavity tooling.
• Familiarity with automotive standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills to interact with engineers, machinists, and clients.
