Senior Program Manager – AI & Digital Enablement

Position Overview

A leading Canadian financial institution is seeking a Senior Program Manager – AI & Digital Enablement to lead large-scale strategic initiatives focused on artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, intelligent automation, and enterprise digital transformation. This role will oversee the delivery of complex, cross-functional programs that enhance customer experience, strengthen operational efficiency, and support the bank’s innovation agenda.

The successful candidate will work closely with Technology, Data & Analytics, Product, Risk, Compliance, and Business stakeholders to drive enterprise AI initiatives from strategy through execution within a highly regulated banking environment.


Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Program Delivery

  • Lead complex enterprise programs involving AI/ML solutions, intelligent automation, advanced analytics, and digital product enhancements.
  • Manage full program lifecycle delivery including planning, governance, budgeting, execution, risk management, and reporting.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Technology, Data Science, Engineering, Product, Operations, and Business units.
  • Develop and maintain program roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, and executive-level status reporting.

AI & Digital Transformation

  • Support the implementation of AI-enabled capabilities including predictive analytics, generative AI solutions, workflow automation, and customer intelligence initiatives.
  • Translate technical AI concepts into clear business outcomes and executable delivery plans.
  • Drive innovation initiatives aligned with enterprise digital transformation and modernization strategies.
  • Promote Agile and iterative delivery methodologies suited for AI and emerging technology environments.

Stakeholder & Executive Management

  • Build strong relationships with executive stakeholders, business leaders, and technology partners.
  • Facilitate steering committees, governance forums, and executive presentations.
  • Ensure alignment between business priorities, regulatory requirements, and technology delivery objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on program strategy, delivery risks, and operational impacts.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure programs adhere to banking regulatory standards, enterprise governance frameworks, and internal controls.
  • Monitor and manage risks related to data governance, model performance, privacy, cybersecurity, and compliance requirements.
  • Support audit readiness, documentation standards, and program governance processes.
  • Ensure appropriate testing, validation, and change management practices are followed throughout delivery.

Continuous Improvement & Strategic Planning

  • Contribute to enterprise AI and digital transformation roadmaps.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and customer experience through emerging technologies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across delivery practices, governance, and stakeholder engagement models.
  • Support enterprise prioritization and investment planning activities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience delivering large-scale enterprise programs within banking, financial services, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Proven experience managing complex technology and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Exposure to AI/ML initiatives, data and analytics platforms, intelligent automation, or digital product modernization programs.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Experience managing executive stakeholders and enterprise governance forums.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management, compliance, and regulatory considerations within financial services.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • PMP, PgMP, Agile, or related certifications considered an asset.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working within large Canadian banking environments.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data governance, cloud transformation, and AI governance frameworks.
  • Experience supporting digital banking, customer experience modernization, or operational transformation initiatives.
  • Exposure to emerging technologies including Generative AI, automation platforms, and advanced analytics solutions.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$110.00 and CA$120.00
