Summary of responsibilities:
The Senior Programmer/Analyst’s role is to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain new and existing software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements.
This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications.
The Senior Programmer/Analyst will also research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle. This individual will also provide mentoring, support and guidance to the Programmer/Analyst’s role.
Main Duties and Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
1. Develops and maintains; intraweb reports and tools, webportal, QC forms, Customer interfaces EDI, Third Party interfaces (API), Oracle Database Maintenance, scheduled processes and triggers.
2. Oracle Database administration including adhoc data import and export.
3. Provides application technical support, including planning, installation and on-going management/monitoring troubleshooting.
4. Ensures critical business data is properly secured and backed up
5. Provide technical and analytical support for internal and external stakeholders. 6. Write/contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end users and developers.
7. Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software’s business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments.
8. Plans, designs, writes, modifies, integrates, tests and documents all code related to reporting, portal development, intraweb, database management, database tools in such a way it is easy accessible and understandable for back-up team member.
9. Assists in designing, implementing and maintaining databases to support business applications, ensuring system scalability, security, performance and reliability
10. Takes projects from conception to completion including but not limited to analyzing requirements, implementing application logic and debugging.
11. Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
12. Performs any other duties the Employer may consider essential in ensuring the normal operations of the Employer’s business processes and that falls into the category of expertise of the Employee.
13. Trains team member to function as a back-up.
14. Collaborate with IT professionals to develop, implement and maintain effective systems
Prerequisites:
• Minimum 5 – 8 years of experience
• Bilingual (French/English, spoken and written)
• Excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices.
• Experience in Graphic design an asset
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), relational databases, ERP systems (e.g. Quantum Control) and Business Intelligence Reporting Tools (e.g. Crystal Reporting, Power BI, SAS, Tableau etc), Java, Javascript, JQuery, CSS, HTML, and Python., SQL, PSQL, Oracle.
• Ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget and timeline.
Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary Teams
• Highly analytical with excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Problem-solving aptitude
• Keen attention to detail • Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines

• BSc/BA in Project Management, Computer science, Supply Chain, Business Analytics, or a related field
