Project Manager – Internal Software Development & Architecture

Position Overview
The Project Manager – Internal Software Development & Architecture will lead projects focused on building, enhancing, and modernizing internal applications and technical architecture. This role is responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable internal systems that support business operations, technology strategy, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

Software & Architecture Project Management

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of internal software development initiatives, including new applications, platform enhancements, and architectural modernization.

  • Partner with Engineering and Architecture teams to translate technical strategies into executable project plans.

  • Coordinate dependencies across systems, infrastructure, and application layers.

Planning & Delivery

  • Define scope, milestones, resources, and timelines for multiple concurrent projects.

  • Track progress, manage risks, and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

  • Support release planning, testing coordination, and deployment readiness.

Collaboration & Governance

  • Facilitate collaboration across Development, QA, Security, Infrastructure, and Operations teams.

  • Ensure adherence to SDLC best practices, security standards, and documentation requirements.

  • Provide regular reporting to leadership on progress, risks, and outcomes.

Continuous Improvement

  • Improve internal delivery processes, tooling, and development workflows.

  • Support technical debt reduction and system reliability initiatives.

  • Contribute to long-term technology roadmaps.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 10+ years of experience managing internal software development or enterprise technology projects.

  • Strong understanding of SDLC, system architecture, and application integration concepts.

  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery models.

  • Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience in fintech, SaaS, or regulated environments is an asset.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$90.00 and CA$110.00
