Job Title: Senior Project Manager
Location: Chicago, IL (Naperville Office Preferred – 2 Days On-Site)
Contract Duration: Through End of Year (Extension Likely)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a high-priority project focused on implementing and configuring new systems. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both traditional Waterfall and Agile methodologies, capable of delivering under intense pressure within tight deadlines. This role requires expertise in requirements gathering, estimations, and working within a structured PMO framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and documentation of project requirements within a 4-month timeframe.
- Drive project planning, estimations, and deliverables within an accelerated schedule.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define business needs and translate them into clear requirements.
- Manage projects utilizing traditional Waterfall approaches for requirements gathering and Agile methodologies during execution.
- Serve as a Scrum Master to facilitate Agile processes and ceremonies.
- Ensure successful configuration and deployment of out-of-the-box, low-code software solutions.
- Oversee data-related projects, including extracting, loading, and transforming data into new systems.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, schedules, and resource plans using tools such as MS Project, Clarity, and Jira.
- Track progress and ensure alignment with financial industry standards and compliance.
- Handle high-pressure situations and deliver results under tight deadlines.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years in project management, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Methodologies: Proven experience with both Waterfall and Agile project delivery frameworks.
- PMO Expertise: Strong background in structured PMO environments, with demonstrated ability to build and write requirements.
- Tools Proficiency: Hands-on experience with MS Project, Clarity, Jira, and SQL.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and own the estimation and delivery process.
- Technical Knowledge: Experience managing system implementations, low-code platforms, and database-related projects.
- Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to perform under extreme pressure and tight deadlines.
- Scrum Master Certification (Preferred): Ability to act as Scrum Master when needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in implementing and configuring out-of-the-box software solutions.
- Knowledge of financial industry systems and data management practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle ambiguity and drive clarity in requirements.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $65.00 and $78.00
