Job Title: Senior Salesforce Technical Lead

Location: Winnipeg or Calgary (Hybrid)

PURPOSE AND SCOPE
This position leads our client’s enterprise Salesforce CRM solution by configuring, supporting data integration efforts and serving as a bridge between business stakeholders, internal teams, and external implementation partners.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders, this role will lead the optimization and strategic growth of our CRM platform, have a strong understanding of the salesforce ecosystem, and collaborate with business leaders to align Salesforce capabilities with organizational goals. They have deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to drive CRM excellence across the company.

KEY DELIVERABLES
+ Lead the technical design, configuration, and deployment of Salesforce CRM in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external implementation partners.
+ Oversee the integration of Salesforce with other key systems and platforms to ensure data integrity, availability, and alignment.
+ Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient Salesforce solutions.
+ Work closely with third-party vendors to guide and review design decisions, manage configuration tasks, and ensure quality delivery of the implementation project.
+ Define and champion Salesforce centre-of-excellence (COE) processes, including intake, solution design reviews, and production change controls.
+ Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines and a robust sandbox strategy to ensure rapid, low-risk releases.
+ Drive platform testing, user training, and change management to support a successful launch and adoption.
+ Provide ongoing system monitoring, issue resolution, and enhancement recommendations to continuously improve CRM functionality.
+ Stay informed about Salesforce platform updates, industry trends, and best practices to recommend strategic improvements.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
+ Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
+ Salesforce.com Lightning experience with configurations and APEX development, with strong knowledge of Salesforce.com architecture frameworks, best practices, and business processes.
+ Hands on experience with customization, APEX, Visual Force, Triggers, LWC, Application / Data Migration (i.e. Data Loader), Code Optimization, Integration
+ Experience with solution design, system development tools and techniques, application planning and strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
+ Certifications in Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I, Data Architect, Integration Architect, Sharing & Visibility Architect, and/or Application Architect are a strong asset.

CORE COMPETENCIES
+ Proven experience in Salesforce administration and CRM implementation leadership, preferably in enterprise or multi-departmental settings.
+ Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, configuration, and best practices.
+ Expertise in data integration techniques and tools (e.g. REST/SOAP, Platform Events, MuleSoft), working with an Integration team.
+ Demonstrated experience working with external vendors or consulting partners on platform implementations.
+ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to bridge business and technical perspectives.
+ Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
+ Experience with Agile Development, Scrum methodology and hands on deployment experience
+ Experience using versioning control/continuous integrations tools
+ Knowledge of testing tools and techniques to write scripts and set up test environment for development and Integration environments
+ Proven ability to work independently to meet project requirements
+ Highly organized, flexible in a changing environment, deadline driven and able to handle multiple tasks effectively while driving results
+ Ability to identify and triage task importance and prioritize accordingly
+ Effective communicator both oral and written, with the ability to frame technology issues in business terms

WORKING CONDITIONS
+ Hybrid working schedule, with 3 days in-office and 2 days at home.
+ Flexibility to create your own working hours around core business hours.
+ May be required to participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
+ Some travel may be required.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
The Technical Lead, Salesforce CRM will report directly to the Director, IT Strategy & Innovation, working with multiple members across the Business Operations and Service teams including Business Analysts, as well as working with members of our Development, Quality, IT Infrastructure and Security teams.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$70,000 and CA$85,000
