Job Title: Senior Solution Architect – Global Risk & Audit Portfolio
Role Purpose
The Senior Solution Architect – Global Risk & Audit Portfolio is responsible for end to end solution architecture across enterprise risk, financial risk, and Audit transformation initiatives.
This role ensures that risk, audit, and financial risk technology solutions are cohesive, scalable, and regulator ready, while aligning with enterprise architecture standards. The architect will enable automation, advanced analytics, and AI driven capabilities across the Risk function, working closely with internal teams and strategic technology partners.
Key Responsibilities
1. Portfolio Solution Architecture & Design Authority
- Own solution architecture for large scale Risk and Audit initiatives, spanning risk intelligence, financial risk modernization, and integrated Audit programs.
- Define current state, transition, and target state architectures aligned with enterprise technology strategy and approved delivery roadmaps.
- Act as architecture design authority, ensuring consistency and interoperability across group functions and business domains.
2. Risk & GRC Platform Architecture
- Lead architecture for enterprise GRC and risk management platforms, ensuring they operate as authoritative systems of record.
- Define clean integration patterns, data ownership models, and extensibility approaches to support evolving risk and Audit capabilities.
- Partner with vendors and platform providers to shape solution designs and roadmap alignment.
3. Financial Risk Modernization Enablement
- Architect solutions supporting financial risk transformation initiatives, including:
- Centralized risk and financial data repositories
- Integration with market data, stress testing, and analytics platforms
- Alignment with enterprise data and analytics ecosystems
- Ensure interoperability between financial risk platforms, GRC systems, and enterprise data environments.
4. AI, Automation & Risk Intelligence
- Define solution patterns for AI enabled and advanced analytics use cases across Risk, including:
- Risk intelligence and decision support capabilities
- Audit and audit automation
- Compliance and regulatory monitoring solutions
- Ensure AI and analytics solutions meet governance, explainability, and regulatory expectations, and integrate seamlessly into end to end risk workflows.
5. Architecture Governance & Delivery Enablement
- Lead architecture governance activities, including design reviews, trade off analysis, and solution walkthroughs.
- Partner with Program Managers, Product Owners, and delivery teams to translate architecture into executable roadmaps and phased implementations.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise standards for security, data, privacy, and resiliency.
6. Stakeholder & Executive Engagement
- Act as a trusted architecture advisor to senior Risk, Technology, and Business stakeholders.
- Communicate complex architectural concepts in clear, business relevant language for executive forums, steering committees, and planning cycles.
- Collaborate closely with internal architecture, data, security teams, and external strategic vendors.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Experience
- 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, ideally within regulated industries such as financial services, insurance, or risk intensive environments.
- Proven experience architecting large scale, multi program platforms across complex portfolios.
Technical & Domain Expertise
- Strong hands on architecture experience with GRC, risk management, or Audit platforms(commercial or custom).
- Solid understanding of risk management domains, such as operational risk, financial risk, audit, compliance, or privacy.
- Experience designing data centric architectures, enterprise integrations, and analytics platforms.
- Exposure to AI/ML architecture, automation, and model governance in regulated environments.
Architecture & Delivery Skills
- Strong capabilities across logical, physical, and integration architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms, APIs, event driven integration, and data pipelines.
- Comfortable operating in multi year transformation programs with evolving scope and roadmaps.

- Delivery of cohesive, scalable architectures across multiple risk and Audit domains.
- Reduced duplication and fragmentation across risk technology platforms.
- Clear transition from manual, siloed processes to automated, data driven, and AI enabled solutions.

- Recognized architectural leadership across the Risk and Audit portfolio
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$75.00 and CA$85.00
