 What You’ll Do
 The Senior Technology Governance Specialist develops and implements strategies, policies and procedures to ensure Technology operations align with business goals, regulatory requirements, as well as all corporate governance frameworks and processes. This role supports the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Technology governance frameworks, with a focus on process optimization, compliance and risk mitigation. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will interact with internal and external teams and requires strong organizational and communications skills to ensure continued compliance and to provide executive level briefings on matters related to Technology governance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Technology governance policy as required to support team and corporate objectives.
- Assess and document the Technology governance processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Additionally, evaluate how these Technology governance processes integrate with the broader corporate governance framework.
- Act as a liaison to external auditors for IT General Controls (ITGCs) and ensure alignment of all Technology practices with IT General Controls (ITGCs).
- Work with our Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk teams to keep our Technology governance practices in alignment with corporate policy and standards.
- Develop governance guardrails and checklists for consistent implementation
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement optimized workflows and controls
- Create and manage dashboards and reports to monitor governance KPIs and process performance. Offer insights and recommendations to leadership based on data analysis.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to promote governance awareness.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in the IT field.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Technology governance, risk management, compliance, or process analysis.
- Familiarity with governance frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001, or NIST.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
- Proficiency in tools like ServiceNow, Power BI or GRC platforms is a plus.
- Certifications such as CGEIT, ITIL, CISA, or PMP are advantageous.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$64,000 and CA$106,000
