Position Title: Software Engineer
Location: Scarborough, ON
Duration: 6 months

Story Behind the Need:
The Privilege Access Management (PAM) team within the Global Identity and Access Management group is responsible for identifying and controlling access to privileged accounts across the Bank. The mandate is to ensure elevated privileges are controlled, managed and audited in accordance with the Bank’s Logical Access Management Standard. The Software Engineer will provide PAM Advisory services to infrastructure administrators, developers, and technology partners. They will work in collaboration with the GTS teams and other stakeholders to define the scope of the project. Furthermore, they will drive and outline the guideline related to project (i.e. drafting guideline of management of highly privileged domain accounts, providing support and guideline on clean-up efforts for all production in-scope domains).
Projects: They will work on a current infrastructure project and will collaborate with current PAM infrastructure and solution support team.

Typical Day in Role:

  • Manage and support the application environment
  • Monitor overall application health and take action to remediate application issue
  • Developing PowerShell and SQL scripts for tasks such as automation, system integration, data retrieval, managing/extracting data within the PAM environment
  • Provide technical support to PAM users and stakeholders
  • Communicate and work with DBA and infra team to check serverdatabase status and health
  • Remediate server vulnerabilities reported by vulnerability team
  • Communicate with vendor to troubleshoot any application issue and raise ticket
  • Will provide PAM Advisory services to infrastructure administrators
  • Lead continuous service improvement & development activities including health-checks and upgrades
  • Maintain all documentation as it relates to configuration, processes, service records, asset inventories, administration manuals, job instructions, support contacts etc.
  • Upgrade application version in all three
  • environments and conduct test for the newer version
  • Detail Application health check after security patching

Candidate Requirements/Must-Have skills:

  • 10+ years of technical experience in Information Technology or Information Security
  • 4+ years of experience in the administration of Privileged Access Management tools such as CyberArk, Delinea, BeyondTrust
  • Hands-on experience writing PowerShell, SQL scripts and Linux/Unix in the context of PAM for CyberArk/Delinea/BeyondTrust products
  • Hands-on experience in access management on Windows and managing Active Directory
  • Experience analyzing data using Microsoft Excel

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Experience with PowerBI
  • Good documentation skills

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills to be able to work well with technical peers and business stakeholders at different levels within the organization.
  • Strong decision making, forward thinking and creative problem-solving skills to anticipate and respond quickly to technological/market influences.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently with minimal direction.

Best vs. Average Candidate:

  • Previously worked on supporting and managing any applications such as CyberArk, Delinea, BeyondTrust
  • Good understanding of Linux/Unix and windows OS
  • A collaborative team member with the capability to work independently.

Education:

  • Post-secondary degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related IT field required

Candidate Review & Selection

  • 1st round MS Teams video interview – Hiring Manager, Senior Manager (1 hour)
  • 2nd round MS Teams video interview – Hiring Manager, Senior Manager and Director (1 hour)
  • The interview will encompass a variety of components, including assessment of job-related experiences, soft skills and scenario-based questions

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$75.00 and CA$85.00
