Position Title: Solution Architect

Business group: FCRMT- Application Development
Project: Projects under different leaders in client
This development team works on financial crime applications across the organization
The successful candidate will lead, design and development of an AML regulatory technology solution required for the Bank to be compliant with PCMLTFA new STR forms.
Candidate Value Proposition:
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to create parts of the design from scratch. The successful candidate will autonomy over their work while still having support of the team and existing processes/designs.
Typical Day in Role:
- Stand up meeting
- Weekly project status with PM
- Weekly update with management
- Working sessions as required with team to discuss activities on the project
- Define and document the structure, connections and relationships of business processes, organizational work groups, data models and applications
- Provide standards, guidelines and statements of direction for IT system architectures, establishing a framework that constrains the design of systems for the purpose of integration of systems and accessibility of data supporting various business processes and functions
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
- 5+ years experience managing a team of multiple developers, BAs & Architects
- Ability to guide developers and setup and implementation
- 5+ years of experience with preparation of specification documentation
- Defining and documenting solution architectures
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Oracle FCCM
- Google cloud experience
- Oracle Database
Soft Skills Required:
- Senior Development lead capable of working with minimal direction
- Attention to detail and control oriented (build in file/data transfer control and reconciliation mechanisms)
- Attend stand-ups and project status meetings to cite progress, challenges, etc.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with other technical teams and project stakeholders
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders
Education:
- Post-Secondary degree in Computer Science or related field
Best vs. Average Candidate
The best candidate would be able to manage tasks independently and accurately. Hiring Manager will be there to provide support but wishes to lean on the Solution architect to proactively manage the team and issues that may arise. Successful candidate should be able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision/training.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$70.00 and CA$80.00
